Wherever you are in Greece, milk trahanas is the most well-known type of trahanas. It is an “easy” food for babies and a favorite dish for adults due to its mild, comforting flavor.
Cooking Instructions (Serves 4): Boil 4 plates of water or milk (according to your preference) in a pot. Add 8 tablespoons of milk trahanas (2 per serving), 1 tablespoon of butter or oil, and a pinch of salt. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens (about 10 minutes).
Serve hot, with grated cheese or plain.
Ingredients: Soft wheat flour, semolina, cow’s milk, salt. May contain traces of vegetables, sesame, egg, and other types of flour.
